Problem

OverWatch Locator (OWL) was initially designed for firefighters operating in the austere fire conditions inside structures such as high thermal temperatures, zero visibility from smoke, structural collapse, etc.

Solution

OWL is a deployable 3D interior tracking system designed around ultra wideband (UWB) to dramatically reduce the number of deaths/severe injuries across the community by reducing the exposure of firefighters through decreasing search & rescue time from minutes to seconds.

Team

Phil Taber is a 22-year USAF combat veteran, USAF Weapons School Graduate (Top Gun), squadron commander, operational test evaluator and was inducted into the USAF Safety Hall of Fame.
